Not Ready for Monday

Monday, Monday, Monday.

Monday shovel to the face. Ouch!

Generally speaking, I don’t mind Mondays. But this one is overcast and somewhat dreary. And that type of weather doesn’t normally get me down. But today, it’s a red letter day. I know that is a good thing generally, but for me a red letter day is a female day. One of those days where you want to stay home, eat junk food and/or go back to bed. A day when a hot water bottle would be comforting and a good book is the only company you need. Or want. Catch my drift?

So, how do I get past all that (and the sadness in the world) and go on to have a productive day? Hmmmmm…..

Minimal Productivity

  1. Make the bed. Sleeping/slouching is over.
  2. Get dressed. Comfy is fine today, but lose the PJ’s.
  3. Have breakfast-something that will get your creative juices flowing.
  4. Quick pep talk, cuz you got this!
  5. Begin. What is today’s priority? Once you get that done…permission granted to take the rest of the day off. Sit with your feelings. Journal. Do something creative or just sit on the front porch waving as folks go by.
